Answering 911 is getting a lot of press in the rather small pond of 911 dispatchers and their professional training. The 911Trainer.com website featured Answering 911 in their Inpirational and Gift section, and gave this very nice review:

‘Do you want to represent this book?’ they asked. “I don’t know, send it to us and we’ll review it.” Got it, - could NOT put it down…Professional Pride is proud to represent this book that will remind you what it is to do the work you do so well. A wonderful present to yourself or others.

I’ll have to remember this when I’m needing some inspiration, too.

But they’re having trouble finding the right sort of person for the job.  Perhaps reading Answering 911 will help, as suggested by this article annoucing new 911 Operator Training courses that are to be offered online.  With my less than brief smattering of French, I’d not even be eligible!

The 2006 Minnesota Booksellers Association Catalog has my very first book, Answering 911, listed next to that year’s offering from Garrison Keillor! I know it’s just a catalogue, but it sure feels like the big time.

The Suburban Home Companion…hmmm…..

You know what the best thing about this interview is? She clearly read the book and wrote it herself — it’s heartfelt and well written. The journalist can totally appreciate that.
